Audrey Gordon is a senior executive with 34 years of public sector work experience which includes 12 years within the healthcare system.
As the former Minister of Health for Manitoba, Audrey had financial accountability for a $7B Budget and operations oversight for acute care services, long-term care services, home care services, community health services and emergency response and transport services delivery in the province.
Prior to that, Audrey led the province as Minister for Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery creating this new entity and bringing together more than 600 people and a $332M budget from across government. She worked together with her team to create a single ministry focused on mental health and substance use policy, program supports, health promotion and prevention programming.
Audrey is a true collaborator bringing together healthcare associations, educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and unions that lead to significant health system performance improvement.
Audrey’s prior healthcare roles include Director of Strategic Initiatives, Project Manager, and Business Analyst where she worked hands-on with doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals in program areas ranging from child health to long term care maximizing program performance and improving program processes.
Audrey also has 22 years of extensive experience in leadership and public sector program management.
In her spare time, Audrey enjoys organizing food drives for local food banks, reading, cycling and working out in the gym weight room. She loves to travel and hopes to complete trips to see all 7 Wonders of the World. So far, she has travelled to 3 Wonders, with Christ the Redeemer in Brazil and The Colosseum in Italy planned as upcoming destinations.
